Spotlight on Presenter Donna King
In 1990, Donna King, informed by her graduate school study of child care quality, worked with a group of teachers and parents to found Children First, a small, nonprofit early education program in Durham, North Carolina — and she has been teaching, directing, and learning there ever since. She has three children — Cara, now 27; Anna Grace, now 24; and Josh, now 22, all graduates of Children First.
Donna is passionate about storytelling and the practice is an integral part of her daily practice at Children First. Join Donna at The Image of the Child Conference in October to learn why you too should implement this practice into your program and how to make storytelling a core element of everyday curriculum. Donna will illustrate many of the ways fluency in this important e
